about

Christian Rap artist DYP unleashes a powerful freestyle over Killarmy's "Nonchalantly" instrumental.

DYP gets visual and takes listeners on a Holy Spirit fueled ride over a thumping piano driven beat. The song opens with DYP reminiscing on his past, but as he reflects on his journey it soon turns into a testimony of Jesus' work in his life and then ends with him quoting scripture and encouraging believers to rejoice in God's eternal promises.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4 (KJV)

Lyrics:

[Verse 1: DYP]
I just wanna spit, been chompin' at the bit
Lyrically fit, God blessed me with the gift
To keep it movin', my tunes keep it groovin'
The Holy Spirit's movin' and I'm lovin' what it's doin'

Jesus by my side got me feelin' super human
Cuz when I close my eyes, God sends my spirit zoomin'
If you ain't seen me in a few, it's confusin'
The old me has died, I didn't show up for the viewing

I'm done with the past but the devil still accusin'
Listening to lies'll lead you down the road to ruins
So stop what you're doin'/Cuz I'm about to ruin
The image and the style that you're used to

I stay gully, set my gaze upon things above me
Can't buy or budge me, it's God over money

I ain't talkin' bout the label tho, flow cold like 8 below
Pray before I write or rap, now I got a crazy flow
I talk truth, you won't hear this on the radio
Spittin' from the soul like Plug 2, Pos and Maseo

That's a shout out for my hip hop heads
In '06 Nas claimed that hip hop's dead
Now they tryin' to say the same for this lyrical Christian rap
Fought through spiritual attacks, it's a miracle that I'm back

Gittin' back to my roots/military boots
A soldier, armed with the Spirit of truth
Some call him Ruach, some say the Holy Ghost
I attack the gates of Hades with the heavenly host

Fully armed, fiery darts do no harm
Belt of truth around my waist, shield of faith on my arm
I engage, everyday against the enemy's ways
Waging war for the Lord till the end of the age

We in the last days, are you still in a daze?
Mentally enslaved in a spiritual cage?
The world is a stage, there's no other way to put it
Used to read the Book of Revelation, never understood it

Then the Lord blessed my vision now it's coming to life
Rejoice, cuz it points to the coming of Christ
He cometh on the clouds, aboard a white horse
I heard there's no sun in heaven cuz Christ's the light source

Streets of gold, the purest river that flows
With the water of life, clear as crystal it glows
On both sides grows, the Tree of Life eat the fruit
You can come face to face with Jesus there and see the truth

Imagine that, I'm spittin' biblical facts
Trying to hit the finish line with my spirit intact
So I can see the New Jerus no more pain, no more sorrow
Ain't worried bout the things of today, I see tomorrow

[Outro: DYP]
Can you see it?
It's beautiful
God will wipe away every tear
and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain
For the old order of things has passed away
Let the one who is thirsty come
And let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people
Amen
